About this event

This Gandhi Jayanti long weekend, Manu Maharani Resorts & Spa turns the banks of the Kosi River into a family workshop in slow living. Over three days, guests move between a Living Charkha session with local artisans, a Junior Artists' Corner for children's natural-dye and clay work, a collaborative Mega Canvas Mural, and a relaxed Khadi fashion showcase by regional weavers — framed by riverside walks, an optional Jim Corbett safari, and evenings of Kumaoni feasting, bonfire storytelling, and Chholiya dance. The retreat closes with sunrise yoga, a gallery walk of the completed artwork, and a framed souvenir to carry home.

2 Nights / 3 Days | 2nd – 4th October 2026

What's included

  • The Living Charkha Experience — Hands-on cotton spinning with master artisans on the Kosi River Deck, paired with tea and local Kumaoni snacks.
  • The Mega Canvas Mural — A giant collaborative canvas where every family paints a section together, guided by a resident artist.
  • Khadi Fashion & High Tea — A casual runway of handwoven Khadi wear by regional weavers, served with high tea.
  • Riverside Bonfire Feasts — Open-air dinners by the Kosi with folk storytelling, live acoustic fusion, and a Kumaoni Chholiya dance performance.
  • Gallery Walk & Framed Keepsake — A closing exhibition of the guest mural and children's art, with a personalized framed piece to take home.
